He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Eleanor Day and her husband, Robert, and Lois Waldron and her husband, Stan; and brothers-in-law Leo Cook, Junior Edwards, and Henry Behrends. Edwin Frederick Lubben was born July 11, 1942, in Anamosa, Iowa. He was the son of Fredrick and Clara Larson Lubben. He was a 1960 graduate of Anamosa High School. He attended Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. On June 11, 1961, Edwin and Patricia Hasler were united in marriage. Edwin was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Anamosa for over 52 years. He was a 4-H leader, Wayne Township trustee for 27 years, Jones County Dairy Booster, Jones County Cattleman, active with St. Paul Lutheran Church, an avid Hawkeye fan, a volunteer with Camp Courageous, and a fan of football. Edwin had a strong faith in God and people and was not afraid to help a stranger. His healing hands cared for all of God's creation. But the thing he treasured most was the time spent with his children and grandchildren and attending their activities. He will be missed dearly by those closest to him.
