Description	:	Edwin L. Jonson was born at LaPorte County, Indiana, October 19, 1862. At the age of seven years he moved with his parents to Nebraska. The following year he moved to the home place where he spent the remainder of his life. In 1887 he was united in marriage to Emma Stanton. To this union were born seven children. The eldest child, Vesta, died in infancy. Clara preceded him death in 1916. He left to mourn his passing his wife, Emma; one son, Martin, of Scottsbluff, Neb.; four daughters, Mrs. Anna Carpenter, of North Bonneville, Washington; Mrs. Louise Neary and Mrs. Marguerite... He also leaves two sisters, Miss Clara Johnson and Mrs. Hollenbeck, of LaParte, Indiana and 9 grandchildren. He was a member of Star Lodge No. 88 A. F. and A. M. at Decatur, Nebr. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the First Baptist church in Tekamah with Rev. G.J. Kuyer officiating. Obit printed in June 1944 Mr. Johnson and Mr. William Saxton were the men who built the Riverside Baptist Church in the Riveside Community near Decatur, NE.
