| Description | : | Edwin L. Allen Sr., 85, of Fredericksburg died Thursday, July 10, 2003, at Carriage Hill Nursing Home. He was the widower of Margaret I. Allen, who died June 10, 2003, after 65 years of marriage. He retired from the D.C. Department of Corrections and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church, where he was a lifetime deacon and former Sunday school superintendent. Survivors include his son, Eddie Allen of Fredericksburg; his daughters, Charlotte "Bootsie" Decatur of Summerfield, Fla., and Terry Brewer of Fredericksburg; a sister, Bertha Peyton of Fredericksburg; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
