Read More	Cascade Pioneer, February 8, 1934, page 1, column 6 Edwin Reddin Many friends and relatives here and in Garryowen were shocked to learn Friday morning of the sudden passing of an aged and respected citizen, Mr. Edwin Reddin, who was called to his reward during his sleep the night before. Mr. Reddin was born in Jackson county eighty-three years ago, the son of the late Michael Reddin, early pioneers. When he was sixteen years old, he attended St. Joseph’s (now Columbia) college in Dubuque. After graduation he entered the grocery business with his brother, Thomas, and for forty years was among Dubuque’s most progressive business men. Following the death of his brother, he sold out and entered the employ of Dennis Bros. in Dubuque, where he remained until five years ago when he retired from business. He then moved to Cascade to live with his sister, Miss Elizabeth Reddin, who at 91, is his nearest survivor. Preceding him in death, besides his parents, were the following brothers and sisters: John, William, James, Thomas, Maurice, Patrick, Michael, Mrs. James Ryan, Mrs. John Moore and Miss Rose Anne Reddin. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. The body was taken to the home of his niece, Mrs. D. J. English, in Garryowen, Saturday morning. The funeral was held from there to St. Patrick’s church in Garryowen Monday morning at 9 o’clock. The mass of requiem was read by Rev. Joseph Drexler, of Dubuque. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers were: Michael Kinsella, Pat Brady, Matt Fagan, Thomas Carr, James Curtis and Dan Noonan.
