Description	:	Edwin Rott, 93, Jamestown, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown. Mr. Rott was born Dec. 16, 1915, on the family farm at Streeter, N.D., the son of John and Katherine (Kirsch-enmann) Rott. He grew up and received his elementary education at the local rural school and helped on the family farm. He served in the Civil Conservation Corps from 1932 to 1933. Mr. Rott was born Dec. 16, 1915, on the family farm at Streeter, N.D., the son of John and Katherine (Kirsch-enmann) Rott. He married Elsie Janke on Nov. 30, 1941, at Tappen, N.D. They lived southeast of Tappen on several farmsteads until 1949 when they moved to a farm at Crystal Springs, N.D. In 2006 he moved to Golden Manor, Steele, N.D., and in 2008 he moved to Ave Maria Village, Jamestown. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tappen, and served on the Crystal Springs Township Board, Crystal Springs. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Daniel (Jerrlyn), Everett, Wash., and Larry (Gloria), Crystal Springs; two sisters, Emma Hill, Jamestown, and Amelia Schauer, Stockton, Calif.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, four stepsisters, two stepbrothers, two half brothers and a half sister. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Haut Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with the Rev. David Schmidt officiating. Visitation: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown. Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
