Surviving relatives include his widow, Edna; two daughters, Eugenia and Mrs. Byron (Alberta) Huff, both of St. Louis, Mo.; one son, Delbert of rural Stratford; four grandsons; three sisters and two brothers. The Rev. V. M. Goeglein officiated at rites held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Stratford. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, east of Aberdeen. Mr. Schley died at his Waubay home unexpectedly. Death was attributed to heart trouble. He had lived in the Stratford vicinity for 60 years previous to his retirement two years ago. Mr. Schley was born May 4, 1895 on a farm near Stratford. He was married to Edna Nolden on Nov. 19, 1919. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Stratford. Survivors include his widow, one son, Delbert, of Stratford; and two daughters, Eugenia Schley, and Mrs. Byron (Alberta) Huff, both of St. Louis, Mo. Three sisters and two brothers also survive. Music was provided by Mrs. Norman Brick, vocalist, and Miss Arlene Schley, organist. Pallbearers were George Bartell, of Crandall, and Wayne Schley, Marvin Schley, William Bartz, Herbert Radke and Hilbert Radke, all of Stratford.
