Read More	The Deshler Rustler (Deshler, NE), Wednesday, March 3, 1943; pg. 1 Engelkemier - Grundmann In a pretty and impressive candlelight ceremony, Friday evening, February 26, at 7 o'clock, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Denver, Colo., Miss Mildred Engelkemier, of Denver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Engelkemeir (sic), of Murray, Nebr., became the bride of Edwin Grundmann, of Denver, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Grundmann, of Hebron, Nebr. Dr. Harner officiated at the double ring ceremony. Prelude music was played on the organ by Loren Rohrbaugh. Miss Lois Brooks, accompanied by Mr. Rohrbaugh, sang "I Love You Truly" and "Because." Soft organ melodies were played during the ceremony. Wagner's "Lohengrin" was used as the processional, and Mendelssohn's "Wedding March" as the recessional. The altar was decorated with candles, white carnations, pink sweetpeas and snapdragons. The bride was prettily attired in a soldier blue suit with matching hat, and with nude and black accessories. She wore a corsage of orchids. Mrs. Ellsworth Hayes, of Denver, cousn (sic) of the bride, served as matron of honor and wore an aqua blue suit with light brown accessories and a corsage of yellow roses. Miss Wilma Grundmann, sister of the groom, served as bridesmaid, and wore a brown suit with matching accessories and a corsage of gardenias and talisman roses. The groom wore a blue suit which matched the bride's. Walter Thieman, of Hebron, Nebr., bestman, wore a dark blue suit. Alfred Paul, of Denver, usher, wore a brown suit. The groom and his attendants wore the regular white carnations as boutonnieres. The groom's mother and Mrs. Mary Mesler, aunt of the bride, wore corsages of gardenias. A reception following the ceremony was held at the Olin Hotel for close friends and relatives. Thirty guests attended. The centerpiece of the table was a three-tiered wedding cake, decorated with a miniature bride and groom. Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Grundmann, parents of the groom, and Walter Thieman, of Hebron. Mr. and Mrs. Grundmann will make their home in Denver. ============================== The Monroe News-Star (Monroe, LA), Wednesday, October 20, 1971; pg. 27 E. W. Grundmann Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today for Edwin William Grundmann, 52, of Memphis, Tenn., at Mulhearn's Funeral Home of Monroe with the Revs. Ted E. Edwards and James C. Houston officiating. Mrs. Grundmann. stepfather of Billy Kemp of. Monroe, died Monday in Greenville, Miss., after a sudden illness. Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Maggie Lou Grundmann; one other stepson, both of Memphis; a daughter, Miss Catherine Grundmann: one stepdaughter, Mrs. Patricia Tucker, both of Minden; his mother, Mrs. W. D. Grundmann of Deshler, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Wilma McKeag of Lincoln, Neb. and Mrs. Dorothy Fischer of Viler, Idaho; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Harry Hearn, Bobby Allison, Gary Launderdale, Herman Daniels, Cletis Elkins and Sam Nunn.
