Effie Emilia Boyd, daughter of Howard Charles and Sarah Ellen Horn Harbough, was born at Boxley, Hamilton county, Indiana, June 9, 1877; died December 18, 1907, aged 30 years 6 months and 9 days. She was married to Thomas Boyd at Council Bluffs, Iowa, April 2, 1901; to this union five children were born, two of the children preceded the mother to that better land where there is no parting or saying good bye. She was married to Thomas Boyd at Council Bluffs, Iowa, April 2, 1901; to this union five children were born, two of the children preceded the mother to that better land where there is no parting or saying good bye. She was converted and joined the Christian church, but some years after she joined the Methodist Episcopal church. She lived a constant christian life, and was a good wife and mother, and had great love for her children. The funeral services over the remains of Mrs. Thomas Boyd were held at the United Brethren church Saturday forenoon conducted by Rev. J. w. Walker, pastor of the Christian church. A large crowd attended. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.
