Description	:	Coon Rapids Enterprise: May 31, 1946 Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Webber, 58, lifelong resident of this community, who died at St. Anthony's hospital at Carroll Friday after a brief illness, were held at the First Methodist church here Sunday afternoon with the pastor, the Rev. Eugene Alexander, in charge. Mrs. Delbert Ford and Mrs. Roswell Jordan sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "City Four Square." Dorothy Alexander played the accompaniment.Casket bearers were Donald Williams, Vivian Patrick, Virgil Patrick, LeRoy Betts, Earl Barb er and Wayne Jones. Interment was in the family lot in Coon Rapids cemetery. The life sketch as read by Rev. Alexander was as follows: Effie Bessie Webber, adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Sleggel, was born on December 17, 1887, in Audubon county and passed away following a two day illness at the St. Anthony, hospital in Carroll on Friday, May 24, 1946. Age 58 years, five months, and 7 days. On November 23, 1904, she was united in marriage to Fred Webber. To this union four children were born. One son, Oscar Henry preceded his mother in death on March 1, 1906. Mrs. Webber leaves to mourn untimely passing; her husband; her three children, Cliff Webber and Mrs. Russell Carpenter of Coon Rapids and Mrs. Helen Glackin of Waterloo. She is also survived by six grandchildren. Mrs. Webber, a kind, loving; wife and mother, a great lover of flowers and her country home, I spent her entire life in our community She was a member of the First Methodist church, the Gleaner's church school class, the Woman's Society of Christian Service an d the Rural Industrial Society
