Read More	Obituary Mrs. Effie Mains Died at Home of her Daughter Here Last Monday Last Christmas day Mrs. Effie Mains, having suffered a stroke of paralysis at the home of her mother, Mrs. Eggleston, was taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Brumagem. Since that time her life slowly ebbed away, until death came Monday morning. The friends she had in the better than three score years she lived attest her kindly spirit, gracious ways and fullness of heart. Effie J. Eggleston was born November 19, 1868, in Omro, Winnebago County, Wisconsin, and departed this life at the home of her daughter in Memphis, Mo., December 14, 1931 being 63 years, 25 days of age. She was the daughter of James Austin and Emily L. (Drake) Eggleston. She was married to Joseph A. Mains, January 1, 1888, who passed to his reward May 13, 1924. To this union was born one daughter, Gladys E. Brumagem. She united with the Methodist Church in Memphis during the pastorate of Rev. E.C. Morgan. She is survived by her daughter, son-in-law, and grand-daughter, her aged mother, two brothers, Bert and John Eggleston, three sisters, Mrs. Nelson (Edith) Robinson, Mrs. Ernest (Myrtle) Bull and Mrs. Maude Rosenberger, besides a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Barton, assisted by Rev. Hadley at the Brock Church on Wednesday afternoon and interment made in the Brock Cemetery.
