She came to Fairfield, Nebraska, with her parents in March 1884. There she attended school and was married to Fred Jeffs, December 12, 1890 and to this union were born five children, one dying in infancy. Those living are Mrs. J. E. Burge, Mrs. Ralph Mileger, Arland and Beryl Jeffs, all of this place. She was converted and baptised at Fairfield by Elder Thomas Fowler, December 12, 1890 and united with the Christian... She came to Fairfield, Nebraska, with her parents in March 1884. There she attended school and was married to Fred Jeffs, December 12, 1890 and to this union were born five children, one dying in infancy. Those living are Mrs. J. E. Burge, Mrs. Ralph Mileger, Arland and Beryl Jeffs, all of this place. She was converted and baptised at Fairfield by Elder Thomas Fowler, December 12, 1890 and united with the Christian Church, holding membership in that church at Fairfield and Wymore and later, in November 1923, becoming identified with the Christian Church of Edgar. Mrs Jeffs was taken sick with intestinal flu, November 24, 1925, from which she never recovered. She passed to the heavenly world, Friday, Feb. 12, 1926, aged 50 years, 7 months and 13 days, being survived by her husband, two daughters, two sons, two grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Ficks of Fairfield, Nebraska, and Mrs. B. W. Whittier of Council Bluffs, Iowa also seven nephews and six nieces. She was a most patient sufferer and appreciated everything to the last, thanking those who waited on her for every little kindness. She died a most triumphant death, singing shortly before her passing out, the hymn, "I'll Exchange My Cross for a Crown." She was a loving wife and mother, a kind friend and a devout Christian. Funeral services were conducted from the Christian Church of Edgar, Nebraska, Sunday, February 14, 1926, at 2:00 o'clock p.m. her pastor, Charles A.
