Description	:	Effie Gave, 72, a resident of Centerville, died Friday, Sept. 14, 1979 at Bloomfield Manor, Bloomfield. Born May 1, 1907, near Melrose, she was the daughter of John and Abbie Deneen Curtis. She was married to Gilbrt Davis and later to Earl Gavin in Centerville. He died in 1947. Mrs. Gavin was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerville. Survivors include one son, Doyle A. Davis, Los Alamos, N.M.; one step-daughter, Jan Mahannah of East Lansing, Mich;six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, George Curtis of Melrose; and one sister, Mrs. Rex (Ethel) Wells of Plano. Douglas Oelke officiating. Burial was in the Brushy Cemetery north of Plano. A memorial to the Bloomfield Manor has been established and gifts may be left at the funeral home.
