Description	:	Eileen E HELLE Eileen Elizabeth Egloff was born in Colony Township near Colesburg, Iowa, the daughter of Anton and Theresa Neiland Helle. She attended country school and later received her GED. Eileen was united in marriage to Frank E. Egloff on May 18, 1948 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Colesburg. They made their home at Dubuque for a few weeks before moving to Dyersville. They farmed a couple of years in the Earlville area prior to moving to a farm between Lamont and Masonville. Read More	Eileen E HELLE Eileen Elizabeth Egloff was born in Colony Township near Colesburg, Iowa, the daughter of Anton and Theresa Neiland Helle. She attended country school and later received her GED. Eileen was united in marriage to Frank E. Egloff on May 18, 1948 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Colesburg. They made their home at Dubuque for a few weeks before moving to Dyersville. They farmed a couple of years in the Earlville area prior to moving to a farm between Lamont and Masonville. In 1957 they moved into Lamont. Frank entered into his eternal rest on May 25, 2002. Eileen was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Lamont for many years and continued at St. Mary’s in Strawberry Point after the Lamont building closed. Eileen was an excellent cook and was especially noted for her cinnamon rolls. She also loved her flowers and garden. She processed many of her garden produce by canning and was also an accomplished quilter. In her spare time she liked playing cards, golfing, following the Iowa Hawkeyes, and anything involving the family and grandkids. She moved to the Edgewood Convalescent Home in 2007. At the age of 91, Eileen entered into her eternal rest on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Edgewood Convalescent Home in Edgewood. She was prededed in death by her parents, her husband Franck; three sons: Pat, David, and Larry Dean; one daughter Lisa; one grandson Pat Mormann, and one brother Vernon Helle. Survivors include her daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; two brothers: Donald (Ardella) Helle of Dyersville and Anthony (Doris) Helle of Edgewood; one sister Ivanelle “Toots” (Cal) Bockenstedt of Luxemburg; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 27, 2014 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Strawberry Point with Father Paul Peters officiating. Casketbearers will grandchildren. Interment in St. Albert’s Cemetery at Lamont.
