She was born March 9, 1916, in Molson, the fourth of five children to George and Clara Pearl (Abel) Greenman. The family moved to the Okanogan-Omak area when she was a small child. She attended the first several grades at the old Clover School and then attended Okanogan schools, graduating in 1935. She also attended Walla Walla College. Read More	Wenatchee World - January 14, 2008 Eileen L. Austin, 91, died January 11, 2008, in Omak. She was born March 9, 1916, in Molson, the fourth of five children to George and Clara Pearl (Abel) Greenman. The family moved to the Okanogan-Omak area when she was a small child. She attended the first several grades at the old Clover School and then attended Okanogan schools, graduating in 1935. She also attended Walla Walla College. She married Albert Austin on October 9, 1943, and a daughter, Rita was born in 1945. The family lived in Okanogan and Omak until 1951, when they moved to Twisp, where Albert worked as a logger for the Wagner Lumber Co. Eileen's focus was her family, home, yard and garden and she was accomplished at needlework. She was a long-time member of the Omak Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where she served as secretary and member of the Dorcas Society. Her husband of 43 years, died in 1987, and she continued to live in Twisp until 2000, when illness made it necessary for her to move to a care facility. She spent the past two years at Apple Meadows in Omak, where the kind attention to her care is much appreciated. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Vernon, Kenneth and Donald Greenman; and sister, Wilma Wynn. She will be remembered by her daughter, Rita Hanan of Twisp; grandson, Shawn Hanan and wife, Terri of Camano Island; granddaughter, Sara Hanan of Tucson, AZ; great-granddaughter, Caitlin Hanan of Camano Island; nephew, Elwyn and wife, Marcia Wynn of The Dalles, OR; nephew, Gary and wife, Jerralyn Greenman of Paducah, KY; and niece, Karen and husband, Joe Waldrup of Oak Harbor. No Services will be held at her request.
