She grew up in rural Scribner and was a 1946 graduate of Scribner High School. She married Dale Harms on Oct. 9, 1947, in Fremont. The couple farmed northwest of Fremont from 1947 to 2005, when they moved into Fremont. Her husband preceded her in death March 9, 2006. She had been residing at Nye Legacy in Fremont since 2009. She was born Feb. 11, 1929, in Scribner to Harry and Lora (Iske) Ristau. She grew up in rural Scribner and was a 1946 graduate of Scribner High School. She married Dale Harms on Oct. 9, 1947, in Fremont. The couple farmed northwest of Fremont from 1947 to 2005, when they moved into Fremont. Her husband preceded her in death March 9, 2006. She had been residing at Nye Legacy in Fremont since 2009. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont, Fraternal Order of Eagles 200 Auxiliary and the Fremont Eagles Camping Club, and Tri Valley C.B. Radio Club. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Jack Aspy, Judy and Dean Chapman, Peggy and Randy Brand and Kathy and Matt Hoschiet, all of Fremont; sisters-in-law, Nadine Ristau, Dona Mock and Ella Harms, all of Fremont; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a daughter and four brothers. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
