She graduated from West Point High School in 1946. She attended Midland Lutheran College and Concordia Teachers College, graduat-ing in 1950. She graduated from West Point High School in 1946. She attended Midland Lutheran College and Concordia Teachers College, graduat-ing in 1950. Elaine taught school in West Point, Neb. and Rock Island, Ill. She married Rev. Burnell D. Beyers on September 13, 1953. in Bancroft, Neb. Together they served parishes in Winona, Minn., Cedar Bluffs, Wahoo, Scottsbluff and Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont, Neb. In 1977, Elaine started Wee Wisdom Preschool in Scottsbluff. She taught and directed the preschool until her retirement in 1988. She was also an organist and children's choir director in parishes that her husband was pastor. Survivors include: a daughter, Robin (Mrs. Dennis) Williams of Fremont; two sons, William (Stephanie) Beyers of Loveland, Colo., and John Beyers of Woodbury, Minn.; sister, LaVerna Bettenhausen, of Beemer, Neb.; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died Jan. 17, 2011; and brothers and sisters. The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont with The Rev. Dan Heuer officiating. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Friday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont with family receiving friends 7-9 p.m. There will be no viewing on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Memorials may be di-rected to Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont, St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Cedar Bluffs, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wahoo or St. John's Lu-theran Church in Scottsbluff.
