Description	:	Elaine Schuler, 59, of Marshalltown, died peacefully on Sunday, January 13, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 18 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshalltown with Pastor Daniel Johnson officiating. Following the service she was laid to rest in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown, next to her husband, Howard. Read More	Elaine Schuler, 59, of Marshalltown, died peacefully on Sunday, January 13, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Following the service she was laid to rest in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown, next to her husband, Howard. Born Elaine Kelderhouse on February 11, 1942, in Marshalltown, she was one of three children born to Everett and Hazel Coughenour Kelderhouse. She received her education in Collins and graduated from Collins Consolidated High School in 1960. On May 12, 1962 she was united in marriage to Howard Schuler, the son of Wilbert and Amelia Schuler, at the Methodist Church in Collins, Iowa. They have resided in Marshalltown all their married lives where she was employed at the Law Offices of Adams, Adams and Adams from post-high school until her early years of marriage as secretary and later did child care in her home while her children were young. Most recently she returned to the workforce in the laundry department at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center where she was employed at the time of her death. Mrs Schuler was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshalltown and had been active in the PTA in years past. Elaine will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed doing ceramics, going to craft shows and collecting dolls. She enjoyed the beauty of the scenery God put around us and the parks she could visit. Left to mourn her loss are her three beloved children: Dean Schuler of Des Moines, Karla Rowe of Des Moines and Rhonda (Mrs Kurt) Brennecke of Grinnell; three precious grandchildren: Michael, Sarah and Morgan; her loving mother, Hazel of Marshalltown; and her dear sister Darlene (Mrs Jerry( Lura of Marshalltown, and her brother Larry (Eileen) Kelderhous of Grand Island, new York, as well as a host of friends. In death she joined her husband, Howard, who left us on March 29, 2001 and her father. January 24, 2002 State Center Enterprise.
