Description	:	Elaine L. Boeckmann, 74, of Tripoli, Iowa, died on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo. Elaine was born on July 26, 1931, in rural Sumner, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Alice (Wills) Mohlis. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Buck Creek. She attended school in Oran and graduated from Oran High School in 1949. On January 27, 1952 she was united in marriage to Orlyn Boeckmann at St.Paul's United Church of Christ, near Buck Creek. Boeckmann, 74, of Tripoli, Iowa, died on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo. Elaine was born on July 26, 1931, in rural Sumner, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Alice (Wills) Mohlis. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Buck Creek. She attended school in Oran and graduated from Oran High School in 1949. On January 27, 1952 she was united in marriage to Orlyn Boeckmann at St.Paul's United Church of Christ, near Buck Creek. Following Orlyn's discharge from the Army, the couple returned to rural Waverly and farmed the family farm. Elaine was actively involved in the family farming. In 1989, the couple moved into Denver and Orlyn died on January 8, 1991. After his death Elaine moved to rural Waverly and later to Oelwein, Iowa. She recently was living in Tripoli, Iowa. Elaine enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, bowling and playing cards with her friends. She and Orlyn spent many winters in Dade City, Florida with friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elaine is survived by her four sons and their wives, Dave and Barb Boeckmann of Wheatland, Iowa; Dan and Kathy Boeckmann of rural Waverly, Iowa; Dennis and Diana Boeckmann of Ames, Iowa; and Dale Boeckmann of Waterloo, Iowa; six grandchildren, Matt (Amy) Boeckmann, and Mark Boeckmann of Wheatland, Iowa; Josh Boeckmann of Silvis, Illinois; Jennifer Boeckmann of Waverly, Iowa; Angela Boeckmann of Harrisburg, South Dakota and Tyler Boeckmann of Waverly, Iowa; six great grandchildren, Brant, Alison, Emily, Sydney, Gabriel, and Ashlyn; three brothers, Wayne Mohlis and his wife, LaDonna of Sumner, Iowa; Earl Mohlis of Westgate, Iowa; Ken Mohlis and his wife, Juanita of Sumner, Iowa; one sister, Garnet McKibben of Oelwein, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Orlyn and a brother, Robert. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 11:00 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Siegel, rural Waverly, Iowa. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be directed to family or to the donor's choice.
