Description	:	Elaine M. Nordstrom, 79, daughter of Clifford M. and Inez E. Nordstrom, was born December 27, 1934 in Winner, SD, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the Winner Regional Hospital. Elaine received her education in Tripp County rural schools and was a graduate of Winner High School and Southern State Teachers College, in Springfield, SD, where she received her teaching certificate, after which she taught school for some time. Nordstrom, 79, daughter of Clifford M. and Inez E. Nordstrom, was born December 27, 1934 in Winner, SD, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the Winner Regional Hospital. Elaine received her education in Tripp County rural schools and was a graduate of Winner High School and Southern State Teachers College, in Springfield, SD, where she received her teaching certificate, after which she taught school for some time. She returned to the family farm where she raised chickens, cattle and hogs and help run the family farm. Elaine sewed and embroidered many items, including quilts and was a member of the quilt guild. She was an avid reader of western paperback books and along with her mother raised a large garden and canned enough produce to feed the family throughout the winter. Elaine cared for her parents as they aged and enjoyed the peace and quiet of nature and rural living. In the mid 80’s Elaine and her mother did extensive research on the family history and later helped her sister, Shirley, complete a family tree including many stories and experiences of the family throughout the years. Preceding her in death were her parents Clifford M. and Inez E. Nordstrom. She is survived by her sisters, Marie Nordstrom of Ohio, Shirley (David) Driver of Montana, as well as a niece, Shirley (Fredy) Agustin and their children, Josephine and Francesca of Texas. Also missing her are many cousins including Robert (Barbara) Nordstrom who were very helpful in her later years. Arrangements were made by Mason Funeral Home. She requested no funeral service and her ashes will be scattered as she requested. Memorials may be sent to the Assembly of God Church, or the Winner Ministerial Association, 225 Main Street, Winner
