She was preceded in death by husband Sidney "Mikey" Lane of Ottumwa, son Michael Lane, grandson Nicholas Lane, sisters Reva(Francis)Leinhauser, Helen(Earnest)McCuen, brother Willard Brooks, and also by her son-in-law James E. Johnson. Elaine married Sidney H."Mikey" Lane October 25, 1941. He died December 31, 1978. She married Robert H. Robinson June 2, 1986. She graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1938, attended Ottumwa Heights College and graduated from Drake University in 1958. Elaine taught elementary school for over 30 years in the Wapello County rural schools, at Stuart School in Ottumwa, and also in Moline, IL. During her retirement, she volunteered with the Peoria, AZ Literacy programs, was an avid golfer, world traveler, bridge player, and talented seamstress. Funeral services will be 1 pm Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. James H. Wakelin officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Ottumwa YWCA, or Davis St. Christian Church Ottumwa, IA.
