Description	:	ELAINE STEVENSON LOW passed away on October 16, 2016 in Calgary Alberta at the age of 86. She is lovingly remembered by her six children and their spouses - Donald and Susan Low, Gary and Wendie Low, Cathy and John Swendsen, Gordon and Laurie Low, Murray and Nadine Low, and Carolyn and Coy Beaton, 26 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren, her brothers Ronald (Brim) and Joseph Stevenson. Read More	ELAINE STEVENSON LOW passed away on October 16, 2016 in Calgary Alberta at the age of 86. Elaine was born in Raymond, Alberta on June 18, 1930. She attended University of Alberta obtaining her teaching certificate in 1949 and then taught near Milk River, Coutts, Raymond, Cardston and later as a substitute in Calgary, Stirling and Lethbridge. Elaine married Richard (Dick) Low in the LDS temple in Cardston where they lived for six years. They moved to Calgary in 1957 and then in 1977 moved to Lethbridge where they lived for 25 years. Elaine and Dick served an 18 month mission in New Zealand in 1991 and then moved to Cardston in 2001. After Dick's passing in December 2013, Elaine moved to Calgary to be closer to her children. She enjoyed participation in Sweet Adelines chorus, Color Me a Season fashion consulting, and a few years as a realtor with Schwartz Reality. Elaine loved to sew, creation beautiful clothes. She made numerous quilts, afghans, family history books and calendars. She was a member and officer of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Her funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sundance Chapel in Calgary on Saturday, October 29 at 11:00 am. Interment in the Cardston Cemetery.
