Deceased was born in Tennessee and resided most in Kentucky. Ten years ago he came to Nebraska and to Lexington, since which time he has lived here. He is the father of 12 children, 11 of whom, together with his second wife, survive him. The funeral was held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the house, the services conducted by Rev. D.W. Crane. Interment in Greenwood cemetery. His bereaved family have the sympathy of the community in their loss. Obituary in the Dawson Co. Pioneer, April 13, 1901- WALLER. - At his residence in this city, on Monday, April 8, 1901, of blood poison. Elbert Waller, in the 75th year of his age. Deceased had been a resident of this city for a number of years, coming originally from Kentucky [...] He leaves a widow and two children to mourn his loss, besides a number of other relatives. The funeral took place at his residence Tuesday morning. Revs. Crane and Keifer officiating. Interment in Greenwood cemetery. Deceased was the brother of [Andrew]John Waller, a prominent south side farmer, who died in 1894, also from blood poison resulting from a scratch of a sand burr on his ancle [sic]. Mr. Waller was also the father of ten children by a former marriage, nine of whom are living.
