Description	:	Obituary - Eldon Jones, 63 of Sedalia, Mo, formerly of Clarinda, died Monday evening at a Sedalia hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born Oct 26, 1916, in Taylor County, the son of Wilbur and Letta Hutchinson Jones. Mr Jones had worked in the construction business before his illness. He is survived by a son, Richard Jones, of Iowa City, and three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving is his mother Letta Jones of Clarinda. Clarinda Herald Journal, May 19, 1980 Additional from Clarinda Herald Journal, May 21, 1980 - Mr Jones had lived in Sedalia since 1966 and was a former resident of Clarinda. Jones, Eldon E. - Eldon E. Jones, age 63, died Monday May 26, 1980 at the Bothwell Memorial Hospital in Sedalia, Mo after an extended illness. Mr Jones was born October 26, 1916, in Taylor County, Iowa, the son of Wilbur and Letta Hutchinson Jones. He attended the New Market, Iowa schools. On October 26, 1935, he married Helen M. Lawson, at Maryville, Missouri. The couple then farmed in the Page county area until 1947. In 1947, Eldon moved to Missouri, where he later was engaged in the road construction business as a blade man. He is survived by one son, Richard of Iowa city; one grandson, Brian; two granddaughters, Melissa and Michelle, and one great-granddaughter, Molly, all of Coralville, Iowa. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs Letta Jones of Clarinda, Iowa. Also surviving are many relatives, friends and 'C.B. Buddies' throughout the world who will mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
