Read More	Eldon William Vamplew May 10, 1927 - May 4, 2019 VAMPLEW, Eldon William - Born in St. Vincent Township on May 10, 1927, a son of the late Earl and Mildred (nee Breadner) Vamplew, and a longtime resident of Thornbury, Eldon passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family at Grey Bruce Residential Hospice-Chapman House, in Owen Sound on Saturday May 4, 2019 at the age of 91. Eldon was the beloved husband of the former Jean Adams with whom he would have celebrated 68 years of marriage in September. He will be recalled as loving father and Dad of Linda and her husband Don Grant, Terry Vamplew and his wife Noreen and Sharon and her husband Paul Menicanin. He was the devoted Grandpa to seven and Great Grandpa to eight: Shannon and Tim Nicks and their children Ben and Charlotte, Melanie Grant and Nate Wright and children Sam and Wes, Jodi Grant, Stephanie Vamplew and Tim Denton and children Imogen and Georgia, Emily Vamplew and Jason Rouse and children Ella and Jagger, Josiah Menicanin and Sadie Menicanin. Eldon will be recalled fondly by his sister Dorothy and her husband Ivan Ormsby. Funeral services officiated by Rev. Peggy Kipfer will be conducted at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Thornbury on Wednesday May 8 . Interment will be held at Union Cemetery in Thornbury.
