Description	:	Eldorna Mary Wiese was born March 24, 1922, in rural Clarkson to Gustav and Anna (Simeral) Mohnsen. She attended eighth grade at Colfax and Madison County country schools. She was married to Louis W. Wiese Oct. 23, 1941, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Leigh. After Eldorna and Louis were married they farmed near Leigh and Madison. They moved to Norfolk in 1965. She attended eighth grade at Colfax and Madison County country schools. She was married to Louis W. Wiese Oct. 23, 1941, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Leigh. After Eldorna and Louis were married they farmed near Leigh and Madison. They moved to Norfolk in 1965. Eldorna worked at the Norfolk Hatchery, Henningsen's and on the farm. Above all, she was an extraordinary homemaker. Eldorna was tremendously self-sufficient. She grew her own garden, raised chickens and canned food. Eldorna enjoyed crafting, and she made quilts for each family member and friend. She loved music, square dancing and watching others sing and dance. Eldorna was a gracious and giving woman. She generously fed and entertained all her guests in her always tidy home. Eldorna shared her heart of gold with St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Norfolk for the last five years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include seven children, David and wife Mary Wiese of Modesto, Calif., Leo and wife Karen Wiese of Tilden, Margaret and husband Roger Feddern of Norfolk, Marlene Wiese of Norfolk, Mabel and husband Frank Moore of Norfolk, Nancy Wagner of Norfolk, Bob and wife Brenda Wiese of Pierce; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five siblings, Mamie Severa of Omaha, Edwina Hegr of Pilger, Jenna Jaroska of Fremont, Leo and Monabelle Mohnsen of Norfolk, Harvy Mohnsen of Battle Creek. She was preceded in death by parents, husband Louis, two brothers, Gus and Edward Mohnsen, infant sister Tina, one great-granddaughter. Casket bearers will be Marvin Wiese, Rex Wiese, Dave Comstock, Mark Feddern, Lynnette Todd, Tammy Feddern. Services for Eldorna M. Wiese, 88, of Norfolk will be at the First Presbyterian Church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with burial in Union Cemetery at Battle Creek and the Rev. Calvin Harsst officiating. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at Stonacek Funeral Chapel. She died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at St. Joseph's Nursing Home.
