Eleanor was born January 15, 1918 in Brady, NE daughter of Alfred and Ruby (Sylvan) Monson. Anderson, 93, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 in Lincoln, NE. Eleanor was born January 15, 1918 in Brady, NE daughter of Alfred and Ruby (Sylvan) Monson. Eleanor was a life long resident of Gothenburg, graduating from Gothenburg High school with the class of 1936. On October 2, 1940, she was united in marriage to Morris C. Anderson at Sutherland NE; to this union six children were born. They celebrated over 68 years of marriage. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Gothenburg for over 50 years and a member of the Tuesday quilting circle for over 25 years. She loved baking cinnamon rolls and her delicious rye bread was a frequent request of family and friends. Survivors include two sons - Kent (Ellen) Anderson of Concordia, KS; Ron (Chris) Anderson of Lincoln, NE; three daughters - Shirley Huston of Gothenburg, NE, Janet (John) Lindsteadt of Lincoln, NE, Janel (Dave) Roti of Poway, CA; daughter-in-law - Tori (Jim) Brewer of Flower Mound, TX; 13 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, brother Don Monson of Needles, CA; and sister-in-law Mary Monson of Brady, NE; along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. Eleanor was preceded in death by husband, Morris C. Anderson in 2009, son Ed Anderson, her parents Ruby and Alfred, and two brothers Jerry and Wayne.
