Read More	Sioux Falls - Eleanor Fritz, 97, of Sioux Falls, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Eleanor Anna Dora Meyer was born April 28, 1914 in the Salem-Spencer area of McCook County, SD. She grew up in that area and received her education in Spencer, SD, graduating from Spencer High School in 1931. On September 24, 1933, she was united in marriage with Rayman Fritz in Spencer, SD. The couple lived on three different farms in the Spencer-Salem-Canova areas before moving to Sioux Falls in 1943. She and Rayman purchased a home in Sioux Falls and lived there continuously until the time of her death. Her husband preceded her in death on November 9, 1975. Eleanor was a member of East Side Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls and a part of the Local 304A Retirees. Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Dale (Connie) Fritz of Sioux Falls, SD, Daryl (Lois) Fritz of Mesa, AZ, Vonda (Roger) Peterson of Sioux Falls, SD, Verlyn (Gale) Hudson of Bridgewater, SD, and Verla Kay Fritz of Sioux Falls, SD; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Glen Meyer; and a granddaughter, Sondra Peterson Smollack. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm Monday at East Side Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Hills of Rest Memorial Park.
