Description	:	November 1796 - In the Maryland Hall of Records, Annapolis, Frederick County Equity Court Record #183, Box 155, Location 1-41-12-35 was .. "AN ACT FOR THE BENEFIT OF ELEANOR SHUMAN, WIDOW OF PETER SHUMAN, AND CHILDREN." This act claims that when Eleanor's, husband, Peter, was executed in 1781 he possessed three parcels of land lying contiguous to each other to wit, part of the tract of land called 'Bloomsbury' containing seventy one and a half acres more or less, purchased of Joseph John and Andrew Rinch; part of a tract of land called "Goosebill" containing seventy... "AN ACT FOR THE BENEFIT OF ELEANOR SHUMAN, WIDOW OF PETER SHUMAN, AND CHILDREN." This act claims that when Eleanor's, husband, Peter, was executed in 1781 he possessed three parcels of land lying contiguous to each other to wit, part of the tract of land called 'Bloomsbury' containing seventy one and a half acres more or less, purchased of Joseph John and Andrew Rinch; part of a tract of land called "Goosebill" containing seventy five and three quarters acrea more or less, purchased of a certain John Scheneck; and some personal property to a small amount off of which were forfeited to the State by his attainder and conviction. The state took all the property and left Eleanor with 11 children. This act returns the land to her and the children.
