She was born as Eleanor Hughes, daughter of Mr. Robert L. and Mary Hughes in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. August 26,1857. Her siblings include Mary E. Hughes Windrem(8/27/1855-1929), John T. She was born as Eleanor Hughes, daughter of Mr. Robert L. and Mary Hughes in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. August 26,1857. Her siblings include Mary E. Hughes Windrem(8/27/1855-1929), John T. Hughes(7/23/1860- ?), Dora D. Hughes Davis(02/01/1864-?), Gomer Jermen Hughes (12/05/1867-01/16/1880) Anne Hughes Sparling(04/29/1868-07/11/1934).When she was three years of age she came with her family to this locality and the home was made on a farm north of town. She was Married to Theodore Jones(04/21/1858-10/06/1932) on April 18,1882 and the couple made their home on a farm in Hilton township. Forty four years ago the family moved to Williamsburg, to the house in which Mrs. Jones has lived ever since. Her husband died in October of 1932. She is survived by three children William H. (05/08/1883-11/22/1962) Grace (12/08/1884-04/14/1976)of Williamsburg and Robert L.(07/04/1889-04/25/1971) of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild and one brother John Hughes of Cedar Rapids. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. M.F. Miller at the Congregational church Sunday afternoon at two o'clock. Mrs. Jones has been a member of the church since childhood. Burial was made in the Oakhill Cemetery. Williamsburg JT 20 May 1937
