Born at Harvey Station, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Helen (Slipp) Knox. Eleanor was a graduate of Teachers College and UNB and taught home economics for more than 30 years in Devon and Nashwaaksis. Read More	OBITUARY: The Daily Gleaner, July 27, 1999 KNOX, Eleanor Louise Eleanor L. Knox of Harvey Station died Sunday, July 25, 1999 at her home. She was 62. Born at Harvey Station, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Helen (Slipp) Knox. Eleanor was a graduate of Teachers College and UNB and taught home economics for more than 30 years in Devon and Nashwaaksis. She was a member of St. Andrews United Church of Canada, the Eastern Star, the Delta Kappa Gamma Society and the New Brunswick Home Economics Association. She is survived by her brother, D. William (Bill) Knox, Harvey Station; two aunts, Florence Melvin, Hartland and Hughena Knox, Halifax, N.S.; one great aunt, Edith Reed, Mouth of Keswick; a special friend, Carl MacNabb, Fredericton and four cousins. Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station with visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at 2:30 p.m. from St. Andrews United Church of Canada, Harvey Station. Rev. Philip Kennedy officiating. Interment will be in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ross Little, Ted Henry, Murray Grieve, Dewitt Lister, Floyd Thompson and Bernie McCann. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Eleanor, the family has suggested the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice.
