She attended Stekl Country School and graduated from Letcher High School in 1958. She attended Nettleton Business College. She worked at Rozum Motor Company. She married Raymond Prien on April 6, 1961 at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Letcher, SD. To this union three sons and two daughters were born. She married Raymond Prien on April 6, 1961 at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Letcher, SD. To this union three sons and two daughters were born. She farmed with her husband and raised her family in rural Stickney, SD. They moved into Stickney in 1996. She was a secretary at the Moose Lodge in Mitchell for fourteen years. Eleanor served on the Stickney School Board for twelve years; she held positions with the Women of Moose in Mitchell, Aurora County Democrats, Red Hat Society and the Letcher High School Alumni. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Stickney. She was a proud supporter of all of her children and grandchildren's activities. She was always fascinated with the latest technology be it cell phones, cameras, computers, printers, scanners, GPS, TV's etc, etc! Her spare time was spent communicating on all of those gadgets. She was a great event organizer and was very instrumental in hosting the Blume Family Reunion. She was preceeded in death by her father Charlie Justra, six sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law and her mother in-law and father in-law.
