Description	:	Funeral services were held Monday, April 21st at 10:30 a.m. in St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare, for Mrs. Hugh (Eleanor) Caroline, age 87, who died on April 16th in the Kenmare hospital. Father Joseph Adkins officiated, Mrs. Maureen Munch was organist and Mrs. Dorothy Placek sang. Casketbearers were Ron, Patrick, Kevin, Joe and David Caroline, and Frank Boehm. Rosary recitation was held at the church on Sunday evening. Interment was in St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery with Thompson Larson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. She was born March 15, 1899, at Bird Island, MN, a daughter of Ferdinand and Barbara Jacoby. She came to the Kenmare area with her family as a young girl where she attended the St. Agnes Academy. She worked as a clerk in Kenmare for several years. On Nov. 23, 1921, she married Hugh Caroline in Kenmare. They lived in Minot for three years where she was employed by the railroad. They returned to farm in the Kenaston area southwest of Kenmare. They lived there until she entered the North Central Good Samaritan Home of Mohall in 1981. She then entered the skilled care unit of the Kenmare Community Hospital in February of 1982. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and St. Jude’s Circle of the church, the Kenmare Flower and Garden Club, and the Kenaston Area Homemakers Club. Survivors include her husband, Kenmare; sons, LuVerne, Kenmare; Gerald, Donnybrook; Francis, San Antonio. TX; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
