Description	:	Eleanor (Decker) Dyer, 82, of Manchester died Wednesday, (January 15, 2003) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born July 25, 1920 in LaGrange, Maine daughter of the late Royal and Mary (Witham) Decker and had lived in the Manchester and East Hartford area for more than 50 years. Mrs. Dyer was a waitress at the Triple-A-Diner in East Hartford for 30 years until retiring in 1994. She was past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Climax Chapter # 98 of Merrow Connecticut. Read More	Eleanor (Decker) Dyer, 82, of Manchester died Wednesday, (January 15, 2003) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born July 25, 1920 in LaGrange, Maine daughter of the late Royal and Mary (Witham) Decker and had lived in the Manchester and East Hartford area for more than 50 years. Mrs. Dyer is survived by a son, Roger D. Carpenter of Manchester; three daughters, Patricia Nivison of Manchester, Sylvia Zaches East Hartford, and Linda Carpenter of Ocala, FL; two sisters, Eunice Getchell of Glastonbury and Lena Howell of Bangor, ME; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 21, 11 a.m. at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester. Burial will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester. Calling hours will be Monday, January 20, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home with an Eastern Star Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
