She graduated from Cook High School, the class of 1956 then attended Peru State College. Eleanor married Owen Tehee and they had three sons. She lived her adult life in Lincoln where she was a member of Christ Lutheran Church for nearly 60 years. She was born on July 9, 1938 near Cook, Nebraska to Louis and Rosa (Riensche) Bentzinger. She graduated from Cook High School, the class of 1956 then attended Peru State College. Eleanor married Owen Tehee and they had three sons. She lived her adult life in Lincoln where she was a member of Christ Lutheran Church for nearly 60 years. Eleanor was a long time Nebraska football fan as she started with bus rides from Cook to Lincoln to see the games in the mid-1950s. Later she followed men's and women's basketball and also volleyball. She was active in the PTA, cub scouts and taught Sunday school. She was one of the founding members of Lincoln Refunders Club. Eleanor was an avid soap opera fan of sixty plus years and later enjoyed reality TV and game shows. She read the daily newspaper, as well as TV Guide and Soap Opera Digest. She really enjoyed vacation times with each of her sisters over the years. Eleanor is survived by her three sons, Timothy, Gerald and Patrick Tehee; grandchildren Melissa (Corey Picraux) Tehee, Hannah (Jonas Sandifer) Tehee, Christopher (Kristalyn Mitchell) Burt and Peyton Burt and her great grandson Owen Burt. She is also survived by her brother Louis (wife Grace) Bentzinger and sisters Joan Staack, Gayleen Eden and Margaret Damme. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Owen Tehee, brothers in law Mike Eden and Gene Staack, grandson Adam Tehee and great granddaughter Khalissa Burt.
