Description	:	Eleanor S. Brown Eleanor Stegmiller Brown, 91, of Hemingway, died Friday, May 16, 2008. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Morris Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown was born Oct. 31, 1916, in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frederick and Louise Stegmiller. She was a longtime resident of Hemingway and member of the Hemingway First United Methodist Church. She retired as a media specialist at Johnsonville Middle School. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Morris Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown was born Oct. 31, 1916, in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frederick and Louise Stegmiller. She was a longtime resident of Hemingway and member of the Hemingway First United Methodist Church. She retired as a media specialist at Johnsonville Middle School. She was a graduate of Ohio State University, class of 1938, and for several years worked for the OSU Library system and did her graduate work at Winthrop University. Mrs. Brown was predeceased by a brother, Harold Stegmiller. Surviving are: her daughters, Linda B. Reardon of Elgin, Carolyn B. Chestnut (Gene) of Lexington and Susan B. Lockaby (Graeme) of Waverly, Ala.; and grandsons, David Chestnut and Chris Reardon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hemingway First United Methodist Church, PO Box 6, Hemingway, SC 29554.
