Description	:	Elenora Hoffman, 85, Watertown, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, in a care center at Watertown. Funeral services will be Wednesday in the Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Marcia Sylvester officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation in the Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home at Aberdeen. Elenora Rau was born July 21, 1922, the eldest child of Fred and Emma (Ehresman) Rau at Long Lake. She attended grade school in Walker Township. She married Walter F. Hoffman April 28, 1946, at Long Lake. They farmed east of Leola until 1979, when they sold the farm and moved to Leola. She later moved to Aberdeen where she lived for several years. She then moved to Watertown where she lived until entering the Golden Living Center two years ago. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Aberdeen and a past member of St. James Lutheran Church, Leola. She was involved in the Legion Auxiliary and Extension Club. She enjoyed reading, doing handiwork and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include her son, Bill (Sheila) Hoffman of Arlington; one daughter, Marsha Ringler of Watertown; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene (Bernadine) Rau of Leola and Larry (Jan) Rau of Sioux Falls; and two sisters, Esther Hoffman of Aberdeen and Marva Lou (Jim) Geffre of Leola.
