She was the daughter of the late Mary Roland Shields and Frank Shields. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Jefferson Hindman; second husband, Henry T. Gibson; and sister, Hazel Holt. She attended Bellefounte Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters: Mavis L. Casteel and her husband, Bill, of Georgetown, and Claudia A. She was the daughter of the late Mary Roland Shields and Frank Shields. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Jefferson Hindman; second husband, Henry T. Gibson; and sister, Hazel Holt. She attended Bellefounte Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters: Mavis L. Casteel and her husband, Bill, of Georgetown, and Claudia A. Moore and husband, Barton, of Charleston; sons: Madison N. Hindman and his wife, Norma G., and Sonny Ray Gibson and his wife, Melissa, all of Charleston; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Stella Mae Pruitt of Cleveland and Martha Gibson of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the North Chapel of Buckner-Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Lake Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Candies Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Steve D. Johnson, Randall Eugene Johnson, Joseph Taylor Coffman, Jason Morgan, Shane Morgan and Taylor D. Johnson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
