She married Carl Tobiassen on Oct 3, 1915 in Minden, NE. They were the parents of Albert, Charles and Grace. ****************************************************** Elfie Geneva Bloomfield, daughter of Anna Barwick and Albert G. Bloomfield, was born near Heartwell, Neb., December 13, 1889. She passed away early Thursday morning, January 17, 1963, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, Neb., at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 4 days. As a young girl, she was baptized and became a member of the Christian Church in Minden. She was united in marriage to Carl Tobiassen October 3, 1915, at her parents’ home in Minden. They moved to a farm west of Geneva on which they built a new home. This continued to be her home until the time of her death. To this union were born three children. She is survived by her husband Carl; two sons, Albert Thaine of Geneva, Charles Bernard of Denver, Col., and one daughter, Grace Gwendolyn Gough of Geneva; eight grandchildren; her step-mother, Mrs. A. G. Bloomfield of Minden; two sisters, Mrs. Erma Wilson of Minden and Mrs. Elma Boller of Ainsworth; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Her parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted at the Kritner-Farmer Funeral Home in Geneva at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 19, with Rev. Fred H. Stevens of the Evangelical United Brethren Church officiating. Ralph Reemts, accompanied by Mrs. Willard Foster, sang “Beyond the Sunset” and What a Friend We Have in Jesus.” Pallbearers were Willis Bloomfield, Osce Newbold, Ivan Newbold, Arthur Schaldecker, Carl Schaldecker and Jake Schaldecker. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery. Out-of-town relatives attending the series were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tobiassen and family of Denver, Col., Mr. and Mrs. Dade Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Osce Newbold, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Newbold, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brown, Mrs. Russell Wasson, Mrs. Duane Newbold and Mr. and Mrs. Willis Bloomfield of Minden; Mr. and Mrs. A.M.
