Description	:	Daughter of Fred and Sena Menholt. In 1926, she graduated from Marion High School. Afterwards, she attended South Dakota State Teacher's College, and taught in South Dakota rural schools for nine years. On April 28, 1928, she married John Wesley "Jack" Datus. The couple moved to Kilgore in 1949, and Elfrieda herself lived there until 1998 when she moved to Valentine. Elfrieda was preceded in death by her husband and parents, and was survived by two children as well as a grandson and many friends.	Daughter of Fred and Sena Menholt.
