Read More	Elijah (sic according to grave marker) Ray Larcom DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS Elijah Ray Larcom, Lifelong Resident of this Community Died Friday Evening after Long Period of Poor Health.-Funeral was Sunday. Elijah Ray Larcom, a lifelong resident of this community died at his home two miles south and two miles east of McCune Friday evening at 8:30, the day before he would have been fifty years of age. He had been in poor health several years, and his condition had been growing worse the past years. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Church of Christ in Monmouth in charge of Shigley funeral home, and conducted by Wiley Riley, pastor of the church, with burial in the McCune cemetery. Mrs. Chester Baker sang, and the pall bearers were as follows: Jas Huff, Wm. Harvey, Isaac Pierson, Chester Sartin, Oscar Justice and Frank Tertlinger. Mr. Larcom was born on the old Larcom home farm south of the Mt. Olive school house, and his home continued in that community. The home where died was only a mile and a half from his birth place. He was a well known farmer of his community, and for many years a member of the ATA in his neighborhood. He was united in marriage to Ruth Blanch Howey at Columbus February 24, 1915. To this union one son, Ira was born. Survivors besides the widow and son are: His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Larcom of Monmouth; two brothers, John of Lansing and Harold of McCune, Rt 2 and one sister, Mrs. Nettie Markey, also of McCune Rt 2.
