Description	:	At his residence 1 mile N of Neersville, Va., Mr. E. Sheridan [note-as written in obit] Arnold died on Tuesday evening, July 22, 1902. He was sick only 2 days, the immediate cause of his death being blood poison resulting from erysipelas. In the church he was a trustee, an elder in council, superintendent of the Sunday school and leader in the choir. His remains were taken to St. Paul on Friday morning and services conducted by his beloved pastor and co-worker in the church. He was then taken to New Jerusalem Church, near Lovettsville, Va., where attended during his boyhood days. Services were conducted by Revs. C.W. Hess, Asa Richard, of the Lutheran Church, and Rev. Lampe, of the Reformed Church, and the body was then interred in the family lot. The pall bearers were C.E. Grubb, J.W. Everhart, J.T. Tribby, R.B. Abel, J.E. Wolf and W.T. Wolf. He was 47 years of age. He leaves a widow and 2 sons, R.M. Arnold, of Baltimore, Md., and Raymond, at home. (from the Brunswick, MD Herald, Aug. 8, 1902)
