Description	:	Elihu Pastorius The death of Elihu Pastorius aged 83 occurred Thursday Aug 29th at the home of his daughter, Mrs Vern Mustard, Askew street after an illness of 2 years. Born in Malden Township in July 1848. Mr Pastorius had lived there and in Colchester Township until 1913. In January of that year his wife predeceased him and shortly after that he made his home with his daughter, Mrs Herman Rhyndress in Windsor. Read More	Elihu Pastorius The death of Elihu Pastorius aged 83 occurred Thursday Aug 29th at the home of his daughter, Mrs Vern Mustard, Askew street after an illness of 2 years. Born in Malden Township in July 1848. Mr Pastorius had lived there and in Colchester Township until 1913. In January of that year his wife predeceased him and shortly after that he made his home with his daughter, Mrs Herman Rhyndress in Windsor. For years ,Mr Pastorius operated a threshing outfit in every section of the county, where he became a familiar figure, among the farmers. Following his residence in Windsor, he resided for various periods with his other two daughters until he came to his daughters home in Leamington. five sons and three daughters survive. D. M. Pastorius of Detroit, Hugh of 904 Hall avenue, Windsor, Gore of Oldcastle, Forest and Roy of Harrow, Mrs Mustard of Leamington, Mrs Rhyndress now of Detroit, Mrs Ida Dorsey also of Detroit. He is also leaves one brother Ira Pastorius of Harrow. two other sons of Mr Pastorius predecease him, Ernest having been killed by a street car 15 years ago and Elson having died last March. Captain Brewer of the Salvation Army conducted the funeral service at the home of Mrs Mustard Saturday afternoon at 1 o`clock. Interment followed in Erie Cemetery, Colchester South.
