He passed away on May 20, 1838 at Cameron, Steuben Co., NY. He was a soldier of the Rev. War, along with his brother Ebenezer. They joined up at Dover, Dutchess Co., NY. They both removed to Richmond Twp., Tioga Co., PA in the early 1800's. Mother: Mary b: 9 MAY 1786 in Rhode Island. She and Elijah were married in Tioga Co., Pa. in 1805. She died in 1844 at Bath. His grandfather Ebenezer, b. 1725 at Greenwich, Fairfield, CT, d. abt. 1808, is believed to be buried on the farm north of Mansfield, Tioga Co., PA. His wife was Diadama, b. in NY. His great grandfather was John Burley, b. abt. 1700 at Crum Hollow, Dutchess Co., NY. His wife was Hannah Whelpley, they married 20 Feb 1722/3. She was b. 12 Apr 1696 at Greenwich CT, a dau. of Jonathan and Sarah.
