Hylton Jr., 86, of Walnut Cove passed away on Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born April 20, 1920, to Elijah Pleasant Hylton and Lucretia Bowman in Patrick County, Va. Mr. Hylton was a farmer and a member of Word of God Baptist Church. Mr. Hylton is survived by a sister, Nellie Collins of Westfield and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Hylton was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Herman and Noah Hylton; and three sisters, Velma Lawson, Mae Collins and Bessie Inman. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. J.K. Faries and the Rev. Kenny Heath officiating. Interment will follow at Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Feb. 7, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home and other times at Garnell Tucker's home on 2298 Ray Loop Road, Westfield, NC. The family would like to say a special thanks to Walnut Cove Health Center, Dr. Zarate,; EMS, Forsyth Medical Center ICU, Ninth Floor, employees, friends and neighbors for all of their prayers and support."
