Description	:	Daughter of Albert and Jonetta Hals. Married Jacob Michael Hansen Brox in 1872. In 1875, Jacob, Elina, and their young son, Albert, boarded the steamship "Tasso" at Trondheim, Norway and came to America. They made their home at Baldwin, WI where daughters, Dora and Amanda, were born. The Brox family then settled at Buffalo, ND until homesteading at Dazey in the mid 1880's. Jacob and Elina had the following children together: 1. Albert Brox, the oldest son, was born at Kastneshamn, Norway on January 6, 1874. On December 9, 1914, he was married to Petra Anderson. Melvin Brox (1884-1900) died from diphtheria. 5. Thomas Brox (January 29, 1887 - November 2, 1947) married Dora Weber. 6. Inga (Brox) Martin (February 17, 1889) was married in 1911 to Nathaniel R. (John) Martin. Lived in Polson, MT. Elina died in March, 1906 and is buried at St. Olaf Cemetery in Walum, ND.
