R.) and Florence (Clark) Wilcox. On March 10, 1928, she was married to Robert (Bob) W. Ramsey. He preceded her in death. Elinor was born Dec. 21, 1910, at Kenesaw to Charles Ray (C. R.) and Florence (Clark) Wilcox. On March 10, 1928, she was married to Robert (Bob) W. Ramsey. He preceded her in death. Survivors of the immediate family include a daughter, Nita Rae of Shelton; a sister, Esther Jacobs of Wood River; and a brother, Charles E. of Aurora She was educated in rural schools and Kenesaw High School. Bob and Elinor lived in Wellfleet and this general vicinity in their early-married years and moved north of Heartwell in 1934. They moved from there to their retirement home in Shelton in 1973. Through the years Elinor relied heavenly on radio ministry for spiritual encouragement. She became a serious student of God's Word through the radio ministry of Dr. E. F. Weber. She was an avid reader. She taught Bible truths to children in her home and held many Bible Study groups also as well as working with American Sunday School Union at the Denman church. They family attended the Berean Church in Shelton. She worked faithfully at Toastmistress and at local and state levels of Farm Bureau. She also had a strong interest in music and formed a neighborhood young men's quartet and encouraged young women to bless others with their keyboard skills. Later she took organ lessons and participated in an organ club. She perfected her homemaking skill of sewing and cooking. Her artistic skills were displayed in arrangements she made with flowers from her yard for Gibbon Garden Gals flowers shows. She was a good neighbor and many relatives and friends were recipients of the hospitality of their home. She was widowed in 974 and continued to keep the house and yard until the mid 1990's. One year the village honored her for the "best kept yard of the month". Several strokes limited her activities but she remained in her home with some assistance until mid December when her health began to fail. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Edna Woodman and Delores Holl and brothers, Clifford and Dale. Published in The Grand Island Independent on 1/15/2010
