Main Panora, IA 50216 Elinor Norine Culver January 21, 1931 - September 14, 2018 Elinor "Norine" Culver, 87, daughter of Stewart & Erma (Ely) Shroyer, the oldest of three, was born January 21, 1931 in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Guthrie County Hospital in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She graduated from Guthrie Center High School in 1948. On August 15, 1948, she was united in marriage to Claire Francis Culver. To this union two daughters and two sons were born. They lived and raised their children in the Panora and Linden area. Norine worked at Western Tool, Garst Seed Co., Guthrie Redemption, and other various jobs. Norine was a great cook and hosted many family dinners and gatherings. She was active in the church and enjoyed bowling, bingo, and playing cards. Norine was a resident of Country View Estates for over 30 years. During that time she was always ready to participate in any group activities, travel, and work in the kitchen. She also enjoyed embroidery, ceramics, and sewing. Norine moved to the New Homestead in Guthrie Center in June of 2017. She is survived by her children, Kathy (Paul) Merical of Redfield; Larry (Marilyn) Culver of Hills, IA; and Diana Culver of Urbandale; 7 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and sister, Marilyn Iseminger of Huxley, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Claire in 1990, son Terry in 1971, grandson Paul Merical, Jr., great-grandson Jackson William Johnson, and sister Carole Schulte. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Twigg Funeral Home, Panora. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Guthrie Center. Visitation will be Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to Country View Estates or the Church of Christ. ---
