Hogle, one of the oldest residents of the county, both in length of years and his residence here, died this morning at the home five miles south of this city, where he had lived for a long time. He had been ill with kidney trouble and his extreme age made recovery impossible. He was a native of Vermont and came west in an early day. For a time he lived in the city and was engaged in business here, but for some time the family home has been in the country. The faithful wife, who has been his companion for so many years is left to mourn his loss, as are four children, Messrs. Myron and Melvin Hogle, who reside near the home place, Mrs. John Braddock of Crab Orchard, Nebraska, and Miss Alice Hogle, who still is at home. The funeral services will be conducted at the residence Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. Bean of LeGrand and the interment will be at Timber Creek. Evening times-Republican.
