Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza J. Jones were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Burlington Methodist church conducted by the pastor, Rev. E. E. Beauchamp with Rev. S. H. Barley, pastor of the Burlington Christian church assisting. A quartet composed of Miss Mildred Cobb, Miss Mildred Rudrauff, T. E. Osborn and C.O. Beavers, accompanied by Mrs. T. T. Kelly sang "One Sweetly Solemn Thought," " Beautiful Zion" and "Asleep in Jesus." The pallbearers were her six grandsons, Clayton and Clarence Finch, Arthur and Arnold Murdock, Jesse Paul Smith and Warren McCullough. Interment was in Graceland... Burch was born in Carlinville, Macoupin county. Ill., February 10, 1853. She was married to Jesse C. Jones, September 8, 1869. To this happy union were born eleven children, five dying in infancy. Early in life she united with the church being baptized by her uncle, Rev. H. A. Petty. She lived a devout christion life. She was a great reader of her Bible, and active in church affairs as long as she was physically able. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1899, and by two daughters, Mrs. James Finch [Susan] in 1917 and Mrs. Ira McCullough [Ada] in 1926. She is survived by: Mrs. Hattie Murdock, William H. Jones, Fred V. Jones and Mrs. Leona Grace Smith, all of Burlington. Two brothers, W. H. Burch of Council Grove and J. M. Burch of Smithfield, Mo. Seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Finch of Shawnee, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Burch of Riverton; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Murdock of Mulberry; Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Strasser of Girard; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Beard of Erie; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Murdock and Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Hopkins of Walnut and Mr. and Mrs. James McGowan and daughter of Parsons.
