She had spent nearly her entire life in Morgan County, Missouri, and was a member of the Baptist Church. On February 24, 1876, she married James R. Roe, who was born ca. 1851 in Tennessee. The marriage license has their names as John F. Willson and Mrs. Jane Roe. The groom's father, W. H. Willson, gave his consent since his son was under the age of twenty-one. Their children: Fannie Francis, born May 12, 1885 John, born September 7, 1886 Ellis Lee, born October 6, 1888 Lola Edna, born July 22, 1894 On March 17, 1900, Eliza married John A. Miller, from Cole Camp, Missouri. They were married by Justice of the Peace, W.H. Kavanaugh, at Versailles, Missouri. They had no children. ------------------------------- The following article was in a local newspaper at the time of Eliza's death: In Memory of Our Beloved Mother Mrs. Jane Miller was born January 24, 1858 and died February 22, 1918, being at the time of her death 60 years and 28 days old. She spent nearly her entire life in Morgan County. She was a member of the Baptist church. She leaves an aged husband, three daughters and one son, Mrs. Rhoda Merriott of Cole Camp, Mrs. Fanny Johnson of near Gravois Mills, Mrs. Edna Hays of near Fortuna and John Wilson of near Bylers Mills. She leaves besides her children three brothers and three sisters and 18 grandchildren to mourn her death. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Bomar at the Ritchie church, Sunday, February 24th at 2 o'clock after which the body was laid to rest in the cemetery there. In the silent tomb we laid thee peacefully in the grave so low, farewell dear Mother sweet thy rest weary with years and worn with pain. All that physicians and loving hands could do was done but to no avail. God called and Mother must go. She no more will join us here. But it will not be long until the summons will come and we hope to meet her in the Great Beyond where sin, sorrow and pain may never come and where the "Wicked cease from troubling and the weary are at rest." .....Mrs. Milas Marriott
